Mustard oil – the soul of Nepali cooking

Cold-pressed mustard oil (tori ko tel) gives Nepali dal, pickles and saag their signature pungent flavour. Heat until it just smokes before adding spices to mellow the bite. Refined sunflower oil is the everyday neutral choice for pakora, sel roti and stir-fry. Pure desi ghee is reserved for festival meals, halwa and tadka.

We stock cold-pressed mustard oil, KTC, Elita Gıda sunflower oil, ghee from Nepal and India, plus coconut, rice bran and groundnut oils. Available in 500ml, 1L, 2L and 5L bottles – plus 15L jerry cans for restaurants.
